What is the Desi Dance Network?
Aa Dekhen Zara Entertainment, is a non-profit organization run by UW-Madison students. On February 1st, 2025, we will be hosting our 15th annual South Asian Fusion Dance Competition at Shannon Hall in Madison, WI.
Since 2011, ADZ has provided an inclusive space for South Asian students to connect with their culture through music and dance. Our mission is to showcase South Asian culture in Madison while fostering talent and self-expression. We also highlight important societal issues and support our community. This year, we're partnering with the Indian American Cancer Network (IACAN) to improve representation on bone marrow registries for South Asian cancer patients. Additionally, we host an annual Gala to shed light and raise awareness for our philanthropic efforts.
Desi Dance Network (DDN) was founded in 2014 to foster a community among dancers and artists in the South Asian community. DDN has grown to not only include dancers, but all kinds of performers including DJs, filmmakers, and producers. DDN is built on a foundation of reconnecting multigenerational South Asian dancers to their roots through sponsoring various national events and dance competitions. We are beyond excited to be a partner of the 2025 DDN Season!
